Background


Trentino, officially the Autonomous Province of Trento, is an autonomous province of Italy, in the country's far north with a population of 500, 000 people. The regions’ S3 priorities include a focus on technologies, products and services for healthy living: this includes cross-sector innovation area: new technologies and solutions for smart cities and communities, patients care, diagnosis and treatment, cultural and tourism activities and enhanced ecosystem services. Other S3 priorities include providing healthy and safe food (agri-food), new technologies for energy and the environment and mechatronics.
