Background


The Nord-Est region covers the north-eastern area of Romania, consisting of 6 counties (Suceava, Neamţ, Bacău, Vaslui, Iaşi and Botoşani). It has a population of 3.2 million. It is the largest and most populated region in Romania. The regions’ S3 priorities include: ICT - creative media; Textile - clothing sector; Biotechnology sector; Agro-food sector; Healthy Ageing, Healthy Living and Tourism; Energy & Environment.
