SAPHIRe analysed 67 updated regional RIS3 2021-2027 and 5 updated national RIS3 2021-2027.

 

For the regional updated RIS3 2021-2027, the results are

• 70% with PM priority (47/67)

• 21% with health priority (14/67)

• 9% with no health related priority (6/67)

 

For the national updated RIS3 2021-2027, the results are

• 60% with PM priority (3/5)

• 41% with health priority (2/5)

 

Remarks :

• PM is taken more than literally “Personalised Medicine”, in the broad sense = Precision Medicine, Stratified Medicine, Tailor-made Medicine, Targeted Medicine, Individualised Medicine, NanoMedicine, Advanced Diagnostics…

• The map is based on NUTS2- level (basic regions for the application of regional policies) but some regional updated RIS3 2021-2027 are on NUTS3 -level (like krajs in CZ, and counties in SE); for NUTS levels (Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics, hierarchical classification of European regions) see https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/web/nuts/background
